The Blue Unicorn: RSP Rescue
#33
Update:
More finishing touches to the money-sucker:
Bought and installed 4 new tires in stock size. $280 Black Friday special (Amazon brand). Ride quite well actually:
Performed a 4 alignment. Everything was so off. The car was eating tires badly:
Ended up not being able to finish the Camber due to other technicians needing to use the rack so took it to an alignment shop the next day for $65 to finish the camber (not pictured).
Bumped into a support column at work. A little hot water, a plastic welder, bondo, and color-coded spray paint did the best it could to make it look better. The bumper has many other imperfections and needs to be redone at some point.
Before:
After:
B-pillars had a lot of wear & tear on them so had them repainted. They turned out very glossy so I had the new paint wetsanded & lightly buffed to give them that OEM finish:
Before:
After:
The top of the drivers door also started to peel so I spent a lot of time with color-matched paint and 2k clear coat fixing it.
Before:
After:
Sourced a pair of clean 97+ Headlights from SC Warehouse in North Carolina. Wetsanded and applied 3 coats of 2k clearcoat. Also wetsanded and re-clear coated the Fog Lamps in the bumper:
Cleaned seals and used 3m Double sided tape to get them back on:
How it currently sits:
Been driving it a lot and putting off listing it for sale longer than I should be, so it’s now due for another clay bar and ceramic waxing.

Great work on this RSP beauty. One almost sure fire way to know if your SC came wingless from the factory is that they have the third brake internal to the rear window with a different cover to incorporate the subwoofer. Factory winged SCs won't have the third brake light there at all and will have it on the rear wing itself. Way to go buddy!
