Default 2006 LS430 CL Journey

Got my dad 06 CL with 102,900 on the clock. Until now everything was done at a Lexus dealership. I plan to keep it OE as possible. He barely drives 6K a year. So I will make journal of all the parts I am replacing and the services it will be receiving during our ownership. Also for oil changes I will have him take to Lexus, most likely once a year. This way they will keep us up to date if anything needs to be replaced.

Spec: 2006, CL selection, Briarwood Peral with ECRU, 18” wheels, smart key, and interior pkg with comfort leather trim.

@103K miles replaced power steering bottle, fluid change and two clamps. Also replaced trunk struts. All Toyota/Lexus OE parts.

Wow, a Briarwood Pearl CL with 103k. Nice, rare find! Enjoy!

I'm an OE freak too, but did you seriously buy the Tokiko OE trunk struts? Plenty of endorsement on this site for aftermarket trunk struts at a tiny fraction of the price. I love my Strong Arm's. But hey, if you did, you did, and that is great. Just know for the future there are a few areas on those cars where you can cut corners and never suffer. But most of the time I am with you, go OE. We have so many good discount site options available, and you will generally get what you pay for with OE...in my opinion.

Thanks! They were $54 each from Lexus dealer. Saw the strong arm on Amazon with great reviews. I know what you mean, if the hood ones goes I will get aftermarket lol.

Oh I just saw your photos in the "how much did you pay?" thread. Beautiful! Great job! $54 each is actually not at all bad, so you did fine. They used to be $200 each I am pretty sure.

New set of Pilot Sport 4 All season @104K.

Non maintenance related, got OE floor mats, upgraded few bulbs with diode dynamics LEDs, and upgraded the sub foam.
