TAP Recycling - BAD SELLER
I contacted TAP about getting a MAF meter pigtail for my GS400. They told me they had it from a 98 GS400 and it would be $75. I verified it was for a 98 GS400 and they told me it was. So then they told me shipping was $15. I asked how a 12 inch harness could cost $15 to ship and they said that is their minimum shipping price. I asked if they could ship it faster then because of the cost related to the package and they said no.
8 days later I finally got the pigtail in. Well, I noticed straight away that the wire colors were not the same. I checked my electrical manual to verify and they were incorrect. So, I called TAP and they told me that is was 100% from a 98 GS400. I told them that it was not matching the one I had and they said it was definitely from a 98 GS400. Well, I posted on here and asked someone to post me the coloring wires for the MAF on a 98 GS400. 2 people sent me the colors - which were the same as my old wiring but different than the new one TAP had sent me. So TAP told me that it will work fine so go ahead and install it.
Well, I installed it and it wasn't working. I thought it could have been my MAF sensor so I bought a new one and it didn't help.
I called TAP back and spoke to Hector. I told him the situation and read him out the wiring coloring from my old one and the one they sent me. He told me he would go out and check and call me back within 30 minutes. By the next day he hadn't called so I called him back and he said he had gotten busy and would go out and check and call me back within 30 minutes. 5 hours later he still hadn't called so I called him.
He told me he didn't have any other ones available so to send it back and I would get a refund.
So right now I am out 2.5 weeks without my car. I have to eat shipping because they sent me the wrong harness, and now I have to pay to ship it back. All this and they couldn't ever call me back.
This is the last time I will ever deal with TAP
