2 questions here plz:
-what alarm/security system do you guys use? And what do you think about the boomerang tracking system?
-my car comes with a carbon fiber hood, which I might wanna sell to get a original hood, so my question is how I can find out how much I can sell for. Ebay maybe??

imo boomerang isnt worth it
there is an annual fee to go along with it too after the 1st or 2nd year depending on the activation package u got

i think stock lexus alarm is good enuf

u could do a price check thread in 1IS forum here on CL

and try to sell it in the BST section here also

also lexus keys have transponder chip in them so car will not start if the thief does not have the correct chip/key
its very hard to steal a mercedes/lexus
but of course anything can be stolen if the thief is smart and resourceful enough
just spending $1200 on boomerang because u think that ur car will be targeted by that 2% of car thieves is just not very economically sound

I agree, I dont really think IS300 is on the blacklist, the only reason is that my car has hood and wing both in carbon fiber and the sales rep told me it will catch attention and stuff. Some other people tell me about the shock sensor upgrade from luxurymotorworks, doesnt cost much, i might do that.

The boomerang is cool but way too expensive, it is a ongoing expense, too much.

why is it hard to steal mercedes/lexus? just curious, they have better alarm sys??

transponder chips inside each key that matches to the specific cars

so only specific sensors can drive the car
which is included in your master and spare key only
