Lexus trunk won't completely close
i'm having issues with my 1994 lexus gs300. the trunk won't close...as in, it won't lock when i shut it. does anyone know what the problem could possibly be? should i try playing around with the hooks that are supposed to lock it, take it to a lexus dealer, repair shop??? any advice helps. thanks!

when was the last time you lubricated the latch?
dealer will charge you straight time for something like this... not sure if want to spend that much on a car of that age
but if all else fails, everyone recommends that you go to regency lexus.

i don't kno if all trunk latches are designed the same... but my dad used to have a preference for not having to slam his trunk lid down on his 95 Dodge Spirit...
i believe he was able to adjust some screws on the latch that's attached to the trunk and effectively raise it so the lock would hook on sooner, this might help you? i'll have to confirm what exactly he did... maybe he put a spacer under the latch or sth...
