Default Thanx Kratos for the audio install

kratos installed my focals, hertz, and jl sub along with my old v12 amp and pg cap... on top of building me a custom box for the under side of the rear deck so i could use the stock 10 sub hole mounting location.

the car sounds amazing, but he's right, i need an amp to power those nice focal speakers =)

nice
cant wait to see ur ride when its all done

btw i found the rear deck to be a bit weak as it is thin and not well reinforced as the stock sub is fairly light
did you mount anything onto the rear deck or just a box ported to that hole?

gotta ask kratos about that. but im sure the box is light enough, and the rear deck is metal, so it should be strong enough but still have some flex to it.

either way, sounds amazing...

the box is sealed, for solid bass. i never liked ported boxes, they may be loud, but not as clear as sealed.

Haha...not too much to see! I'll get a few pics next time I see you Sorrgwa if thats ok.

The box is .62 cubic feet which is perfect for the 10W1V2. I attached the box to the package tray with 6 screws going through the top of the metal tray down into the box. Not a lot of space was used so his trunk is still nice and big (I'm jealous).

Let me know when you need an amplifier for the fronts. Don't worry, I'll hook a brother up as usual.

very true
my setup is a 10" A/D/S sub in a sealed box as well, hooked up to an old alpine 150w mono amp
it was a prefab box but just happened to fit in that nook pretty well and took up half of the nook below the rear deck

eventually ill also need to upgrade my cabin speakers and amp, do u think it is possible while keeping the stock nav?

which focals did u get btw?

Sure thing. A JL Audio Cleansweep (or equivelant) is recommended as a hi-low converter as well as an EQ stabilizer. But yeah, definately do-able.

I've worked on quite a few GS300's.

Oh FYI, I am selling my Eclipse DD Nav screen (AVN-5510) so if anybody needs one I'm looking at $875 for it.

haha, i just chopped an inch off my shifter. im running an aftermarket leather shift **** that looks almost identical to the stock one. just that its smaller and shorter. it sat too high on the stock shifter... so decided to chop an inch off... it sits lower now and just measured... it should clear the z2 no problem when it does that slide out thing...

=)

Haha....no problemo dude!
You're all hooked up now brother. Let me know if you need a hand with anything ok? Oh, I have the manual sitting at the shop. I guess I forgot to put it in the car. I'll drop it off if I get a chance today.
