i think it's supposed to be in the $120k range but have heard as high as $170k... i was an idiot and didn't bother to ask the sales guys when i went...
but yeah, given how SLs became a-dime-a-dozen car when it came out, the only thing preventing the R8 from littering the streets is the factory production speed.

Nice car for sure. Can't wait to see one in person and take some pictures of it.
Btw, has anyone seen that Gallardo Superleggera on the road? That engine sounds just "fantastic"
Also, I have spotted a GT3 RS (orange) on Broadway roughly 2 weeks ago. It is a monster by hearing to the exhuast sound~~

we just sold our first r8 in seattle, sticker price was 124k, that was for the r8 with the 6mt and the carbonfiber side panels. the other dealership in seattle has an r8 but it has the r-tronic clutchless manual tranny, it is going for 148k is has a few more options too i believe.

No kidding... the IS is now $16,000 more in Canada. My dad bought his Merc SL 55 in California and imported it, saving a cool $40g... the money he saved could've almost bought me my 250!!!
Have you guys heard of this class action lawsuit being launched against all car companies for charging so much more for the same cars in Canada over the US? If it does win I think all those who've bought new cars since fall '05 get some kind of settlement.
I missed the R8 but I did spot a registered silver one at Hotel Vancouver.

Take a look.

I did hear about that lawsuit on radio but not much of its detail. Do you have a link or something that shows a bit more of whole story? That'd be interesting to know. Car prices are way too high in Canada now for sure and so many people are buying cars down the states especially those more expensive ones. Really saves a lot of $$$.
