Question Avic Z2 in a 2002 Lexus ES300

Hi
I hope someone can help me, I am doing an install of a Avic Z2 in a 2002 Lexus ES300 and can't seem to get the Amp to fire (no Sound), I put the original back and it works, but not for the avic Z2.

My original deck is a 6 cd indash

grounds are fine, Just wondering if some had similar problems and what did you do to get the Amp to fire.

Any help is much appreciated!!!

sk has it right... i dont think you can use the stock amp. if you buy the wiring kit, it usually just bypasses the stock amp.

i also suggest possibly changing out ur speakers as well. if you have the stock system that uses the stock amp, the speakers are rated at 2ohm.

I was hoping to use my oem amp, but couldn't so I used an after market, so its all good

Now my one and only problem is the gap on the sides of my avic z2

I am using a ML navigation bezel and the top and bottom is good but the gaps on the left and right of the Avic z2 is my problem.

anyone got any ideas to cover this up

Thanks
Mike

Changing out the speakers will be next, but when I swapped out the OEM amp for an after market amp it sounds so much better, that there is no big rush now to change the speakers.

I want to fix the gaps on the ML bezel and avic z2
