i dont like them because some of their staff live in my neighbourhood and they drive the van on a small street like bat out of hell sometimes and almost crashing into my car once

so from the perception i have of them, they are not very responsible people

if you have a porter cable or is skilled with an orbital then sure, id love to have you do my car

How about AJ's Home and Auto Detailing Ltd?

I got my car done at the beginning of the year and they did a very good job on it.

I am thinking of detailing my car this week. What's the price range for a professional detail? If it's not too outrageous I'd much rather save my time

^^^ nice...I agree I'd rather just spend an entire afternoon and night doing the detail myself. I mean, who loves your car more than you...am I right?

Exactly, plus you get to inspect your car every time and get to know your car more of exactly how things are.

Although it depends on your skills so if you don't know anything, spending entire day may not be as good as a detailer spending a few hours.

Best nd most important of all, learn!

good job solo
love ur GS with those rims too

i dont have a dual action buffer
nor a rotary
so for polishing, i feel like it needs to be done by a pro or semi-pro
but for now the car doesnt need too much polishing, only in some areas
what i dont like is my parkade garage being so dark that i cant see the blemishes in the paint very well

i dont have a dual action buffer
nor a rotary
Nor do I!
I did mine with a random orbiter
ones bought in Canadian Tire, looked like this

then it's just time from then on...

I did mine in a hot garage, which was blasted by heat the whole morning while the afternoon when I'm working it was thunder-showering outside, so I can not see my results or do any checks along the way... I want to redo it again...

i've been to yaletown auto spa, downtown auto spa and blue chip detailing. i wouldn't go back to downtown auto spa, yaletown auto spa felt like they just pumped your car thru if it wasn't an exotic in for a $$$$ job. blue chip wasn't bad but it didn't seem like the job lasted very long. could just be the paint on our G35 was that damaged

i've concluded the same as others, no one is going to do baby your baby more than yourself. i've done my own claybar and wax and it does take time, but at least you don't feel as ripped off when you notice small 'defects' in the job.

if you're too lazy to polish the car (like me) just put some polymer sealant prior to waxing, fills up all the scratches and last for about a year

I just took my car to unique detailing here on the north shore, and My car was in pretty bad condition...loooots of swirl marks. Its a tungsten pearl, and he worked on it for like 6 hours he said, and it turned out really really great.

its so damn shiny....I would recommend him. cost was 250.
