I go to the dealer as his cost are within $10 of what and good indie would charge and the dealer his closer, but if you have a good indie, you can go to him, you don't have to use the dealer.

Default GTA oil changes

My last oil change was at an Indie in north Mississauga (Dixie & 401)
- formerly shop foreman at LEXUS dealer - now on his own.
- RX350 (2011) - 6.5l of synth plus oil filter = $87 incl HST.
plus he took 1/2 hour to reattach rear 12v outlet wire.
On the other hand I've been going to him for a few years and previously had brakes and shocks done there.

Is this in line with other dealers in Canada?

Carl
Seems about right.

Honestly not even bad, some dealers are more, other brands wayyyy more for dealer service.

Even synthetic at some of the oil change or tire places can be well over $100.

If you do it yourself, you're into like $70ish for good oil and a filter, retail. Unless you get the Costco brand 0w20 which will save you $10-20.
