my engine coolant is low it seems
which is strange since i only got it flushed like 9000 miles ago
anyways, i need to top it up with like 1000cc (1L) of mixed coolant
which means 500cc non-mixed coolant
anyone got some lying around?
ill buy the 500cc off you (or 1L mixed)
Toyota sells it in jugs of ~4L
too much for my purpose
Thanks

truthfully, i just mix in the prestone longlife coolant. i did a coolant drain and fill with this stuff, no issues. its also red in color.
i also mixed in some purple ice coolant additive. from my understanding, its like soap. it breaks the water tension of the water/coolant making it "wetter" thus able to absorb the heat and disapate it easier. i do notice my fans dont turn on as often. they say it can drop ur coolant temp by as much as 20C. i donno if it did that. but ill be doing another coolant drain and fill when i install my trd thermostat.

where do i get this purple ice stuff and how much do i add in?
actually im not worried about coolant temp at all since my car never really gets to halfway even after a long trip
it gets to about 2/5 of the way at operating temp
btw shoei, do u remember if ken put in prestone LL when he did the flush or he used the toyota LL?
thanks

Some times it takes quite awhile for the system to work all the air out, and of course recently it's been quite cold so a combination of air working out, and your coolant being cooler, and there you go, low coolant level
