So i'm thinking about moving into a truck...
I am in dire need of a vehicle that I can (and want to) use year round so I'm contemplating parting with my car. Was wondering if I could pick the Lexus crowd's brain to guesstimate how much i could get for my baby....
Details on my car:
2003 Lexus IS300 MSM (Silver) 5 spd w/ LSD
57,xxx kms
No accidents or claims EVER
Original Owner - bought from Richmond Lexus brand new, August, 03
Synthetic Oil since 1st oil change (currently using Motul)
Moonroof, HIDs, Leather & Heated Seats, Front and Rear Fogs, etc... (ie. top model that year, minus the navi)
Mods:
18" Gunmetal Volk GT-C (18x7.5 and 18x8)
Tein SS Coilovers
Toyomoto Gen.2 SS Header
Apex'i SAFC II
HKS Hi-power Exhaust
TRD slotted rotors
TRD Yellow (Race) Sway Bars
TRD Rear strut bar
TRD CF front grille modified with the JDM Altezza emblem
Tom's SS braided brake lines
High Quality CF Hood with Gas shocks
JDM Arms Design Front lip (fibreglass)
Genuine JP Visage sideskirts and rear lip (urethane)
35% tint all around
JDM Genuine Toyota Altezza Window Visors
JDM Genuine Toyota Altezza Dash Tray
JDM Genuine Toyota ALtezza Rear Shorty Antenna/Emblem
PLP Gen.2 Short Shifter
TRD Leather Shift ****
High-end sound system with false floor (Alpine, Focal, Boston Acoustics, Mu-Dimension)
Compustar Paging Alarm
The tires on the car now are pretty much useless, but i have a brand spankin new set of tires i just picked up that would go with the car. The front and rear bumpers could use some paint for the perfectionists (or just mold the front lip onto the bumper and get it over with).

Unfortunately mods don't count for much in the way of $$ increase when you go to sell the car.
I'd like to see you get $25k but I don't think I realistically see that happening. Maybe $22,5XX or so.
I would pick the timing carefully so you might be able to get the higher end for it (as in, not right now, more like April). Also watch for a flood of IS300s on the market, we have reasonably sought after cars, but like any good, too many of them out there will bring the price down because the supply is larger than the demand (basic econ right there)

^basically if im going to part any of it (most likely will) it will be anything and everything as long as the time is worth the effort to pull the part off and i have the stock piece (which is almost everything).
I would love to see a member get some of my more rare parts such as the hood (super light, a beautiful weave, and comes with self-lifting gas shocks) the trd yellow sways, and the false floor audio setup. It'll be nice to know these parts are going in good hands, although, realistically, i can't be picky who buys them.

Ok, let me see here, things I would like to do to my IS
1) lower it ... so do you want to swap your coilovers for my stock shocks and springs? ... in which case I guess I would want the sways and strut bars as well if I'm trying to increase the handling
2) exhaust system from the headers all the way through to the tail ... I could see this being labour intensive but I have a shop I use
3) after this winter I might need new rims, but you would definitely want to have a look at mine first to see if you would want to swap those
What parts do you think you would like to change? (keeping in mind my car is white and yours is silver)
I don't know how much of that helps with the sale and price of your car ... I'd say your best bet for a quick sale is probably to pull the body kit off
