You can try Toyota dealers, they usually charge a lot less.

Do you have the sensors mounted inside the wheels already? If not, you should write down the code first. Lexus charged me $25 for just registering the code. If you don't have the code and you put them in the wheels already, I recommend taking out the sensors by a shop, and get the code. Of course, you can get Lexus to do the whole thing, but sure it will be costly.

phoned regency lexus, they charge $55 to program the TPMS...they quoted around $120 to program TPMS, mount & balance 4 tires on rims. North Shore Lexus quoted $165.

Volco quoted me $45 per tire to mount/balance tires w/ TPMS but said the TPMS do not need to be programmed...I questioned him on this & seems that they are not not sure about the programming issue. I did explain that these are asecond set of oem lexus TPMS to be used on summer set of wheels.

After reading and talking to some shops, I would recommend having this done by the dealership(either lexus or toyota) to make sure it's programmed & working properly. It seems some shops don't know what there doing or don't have to proper setup to program the codes into your vehicle.

wtf =.= $55 for just re-programming the sensors?? Try calling Richmond Lexus, I did it there, cost me $25 plus tax.

yes, programming must be done by dealership, correct me if i'm wrong tho.

$120 doesn't sound too bad for me personally, minus the $55 the quoted you for TPMS, it costs you less than $70 for balancing all 4 tires~ i think it's a good deal.

STKISS, did you bough an extra set of TPMS adapter for your wheel? or you use your stock one?

lets say I have 2 set of these TPMS, 1 set is my orignal, and 1 set I bought it used, and put them in my other set of rim, do I have to reprogram them at the dealer ever time I switch them?

and what about the Cars thats made before April 2006 and cars made after april 2006?

the 2nd set you bought must be registered to your car. You wont need to register them afterward if you put them on other sets of rims
