Event: Revscene.net's EPIC Annual Summer Meet 2009
Date: August 16th 2009 (Sunday)
Time: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm only
Location: Richmond Silvercity Riverport, Lower Parking lot


Will there be a lexus presence at the meet? cuz then i can cone off an area. I booked the silver city lot (roughly 700 car spots).

Gonna have a bbq going, yes Free Food!!! (mainly hot dogs cuz they are pre cooked and fast to cook)

Gonna have a DJ there, (DJ Rich that spinned for us at DTP 2008)

As far as i know, there are models coming, not sure which ones, but blackbox media did bring up misa campo and Steph Ly, and they plan on having a presence at the meet as well.

Basically, we arent looking to replace DTP, but we know with no DTP this year, we gotta step it up, mixing with our traditional grass roots event w/ more upscale DTP car show event.

It has and always will be a FREE Event to attend and participate, unless ur like a vendor or sponsor and then we just ask them to chip in for the cost of the food... (estimating about 1000 hungry ppl cuz we said free food =P)


So yeah, a small count would be nice so i know how many car spots to cone off, dont know if i will be able to bring my car as ill be moving a lot of the stuff there myself. Should be pretty sweet though, cuz i know that parking lot is huge, and judging from the spring meet of 600+ cars that showed up, this isnt gonna be a small meet!

 

prolly won't make it for the food, but may pop over after lunch. if you are gonna cone off an area just for lexus, save me a spot!

I'm going to try and have that day off so I can come.

 

i know we wont have enough to win the 3 car trophies.

im setting up 3 trophies, one for best of show (usually goes to the show car of the bunch), one for best car club (goes by pure numbers and last 3 years have been won by bcmazda3's), one for best car crew (goes to the best showing by a car crew, vendors can even get involved)

but if u guys are game there trophies for the tradition chugging contest winner (3 rounds, water, pop, mystery drink?!), and hotdog eating contest (pretty self explanitory). we might bring back fear factor (2 years ago it was durian soaked in 6hrs of sunblazing heat and century eggs) durian was nasty, ppl took like a good 5ft step back once we opened the case and the smell waffed across the parking lot...

 

is the best car crew one by numbers as well?

I wonder if we have a anyone that is a contender for best of show ... We have a couple nice cars for sure, but I don't know what the competition is like.

 

for the best of show category, it usually leans towards a show car. we usually have a guy go look around and semi judge. the person is usually someone that has been a judge before, so knows what ot look for.

as for car crew, its best representation by a crew, thus eg, "stage five", "zenkei rush", "team menace" "sick****" or even car shops.
