Hey,
Has anyone investigated getting an extended warranty from one of the local dealerships (ie. just prior to your factory warranty expires)? If yes, was your vehicle from the states and did they offer the extended warranty without issue? Also, what was the approximate cost?

So, if you want extended warranty from Lexus your car must be from Canada. They dont provide extended warranty for American cars...

Never, NEVER trust anyone calling from a third party advertising an extended warranty. They'll make up some bs bout your warranty expiring, its all false. I've spoken with ppl at Lexus and they confirm they'll never call you if the warranty expires, you'd hafta bring your car in first.

only get extended warranty from lexus; i've heard horror stories about 3rd party extended warranty...

In Canada you can not buy a Lexus ECP warranty for a US car.
The only warranty that you can buy for this car is a 3rd party one.

This is not a "gimmick" or a "scam", I have managed Toronto area dealerships for years. Many years with Nissan, now with Jaguar. The warranty I am offering is completely legit and is underwritten by the same company that does "factory" extended warranties for Land Rover, Volvo, etc...
This will be sold at a Jaguar dealership in north Toronto.
