Default anyone know a shop for re-drilling wheels.

I am just wondering if anyone knows a place to re-drill 5x120 wheels to 5x114.3. I am in the GTA area.

I did a search on the forum, couldn't find anything locally.

I am trying to put the wheels on my 2001 GS430.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Would you suggest using 5x120 to 5x114.3 adaptors instead of re-drilling ?

any chance you could expand on the reason why it wouldn't be safe ? Very curious, because I haven't read anything negative about safety.

Open to any more information before I go ahead and do anything.

ive never heard of anything in regards to negative effects to safety either. but we learn something new everyday. the procedure is known as a 'fill and drill.' they weld the old holes shut and drill new ones to me. sounds mechanically safe to me.

in regards to adapter, theyll probably add around 25mm/1in to your hubs, which would push your wheels out that far

I started looking at adapters after I read the reply, and it seems I can get away with 15mm with built in studs, this is daily driver and I was trying not to push the offset, wanted a nice stance with safe offset for daily driving, that is the reason I waned to re-drill them.

By the end, I think you would spend as much or if not more in re-drilling rather than buyin a new or used set. Sell what you have now and just buy a whole new set that is the proper fit for your car. I've put new wheels on every car I've gotten since my 16th bday which was a whole ago, lol. For a piece of mind, get a new set. I just picked brand new bbs reps with tires under a thousand. Just have to be patient... Good luck.
