Hi everybody. I went to my local Lexus dealership today to test drive an ES 300h hybrid. After my test drive, i was offered a demo car ( a car that one of the employees drive as a daily) because there was a demo car sale event going on. I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this car, so the saleswoman said I can take it for the day if i put a refundable $500 deposit. I kept asking her if it was 100% refundable (the full $500 amount), and she kept assuring me that they won't try to steal my money because they want my business. I was convinced so I paid the $500 refundable deposit. She then took me into another part of the dealership where I had to sign a package with the yellow sheet.

Later that day, I returned the car but I told them to hold onto my $500 because I hadn't finalized my decision yet and i wanted them to hold the car for me.

edit: On the yellow paper, it says "SUBJECT TO CUSTOMER FINAL DECISION BY MAY 21, 2013" <-- This means I should have nothing to worry about, and my full $500 should be refunded, right?
