The 2024 Ford Mustang is the next car to lose AM radio
If you listen to a lot of AM radio, the next Ford Mustang is not the car for you.

I was actually reading just this morning that radio in general, and AM radio in particular, may be on its way out. Declining listener numbers due to everything being available online are making it less and less economically viable to run a transmitter.
Given that, not surprised that we're starting to see receivers becoming less common as well.

Polestar2 does not have AM radio. But there's a ton of apps for that . . .

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here listen to AM radio still? I'm middle aged and I've only used it a handful of times in my life, and that was for live sports broadcasts maybe 10-15 years ago. I've never seen my parents use AM either, even as a kid FM had become dominant.

The Bends is their greatest album.
AM radio was how we knew school was closed for snow when we were kids lol.

Yeah, pretty much a bygone era. My kids have never seen a dedicated radio or even know what AM/FM are. I'm pretty sure the Model 3 didn't have AM, and that came out 5+ years ago. Now that I think of it I'm pretty sure my kids have no idea that movies and music can come on physical objects and not just streaming.
