I'm just curious @geko29 what your finance rate on this purchase is. Or did you pay cash?
Paying cash. Current BMWFS base rate is 5.99%, and dealers can mark up by 1% (not sure if this one does). There was a period in Dec/Jan I think, when promotional rates were still 1.9% and I think I was making 3.85% on my cash at the time, so I would have financed for sure if the car came then. But not at 4.55% (which is like 3% after taxes) vs. 6%.
Also by way of update, have an appointment at 4:30 for delivery. Super excited!

OK cool. 5.99% is extremely high. I financed my Tesla at 5.49%, but put down $15K to offset some of the higher interest rate. I plan to pay it off quickly.
I don't know why I'm so excited, but I can't wait for you to take delivery and post pics!
I wound up leaving it at the dealer for exterior and interior ceramic coating, will pick it up for real this afternoon, for now all I have to show for the shockingly large check I just wrote is a cool-looking keyfob.
Looks great, congrats! Funny thing is I saw the exact build, including interior, yesterday driving through the parking lot when I was going to dinner (minus the manual tranny probably).

Very cool! It's a relatively rare color. I'm aware of 4 in California, one each in Florida, Ohio, and NY, plus a couple in Canada, but none have the 825M wheels--most opted for the 826M. This will be the first I've been made aware of in the mid-east.

Let me rephrase, same exterior/interior. I didn’t pay enough attention to the wheels because it was driving by slowly but I believe it had the typical wheels you see on M3’s, I wasn’t really paying attention to the wheels as much as I was the color combo which made me stop and stare. Also assumed no manual tranny because it’s so rare.

Very happy for you Geko29!
Super slick looking car and those seats look sporty.
I hope they are comfy and a plus if rawhide leather if they still do that on BMW's.

This is the first one I have seen.
Haven't seen any out in the wild yet.

never heard of ceramic coating INSIDE.
Me either that's a new one on me too.
If it's just a product that squirts on and wipe off, I hope they didn't ding too hard for that.
Looking real good. Enjoy in good health. Is that Cognac inside? Did you ever give the reason for not having a moon/sunroof? This thread is going to get "sticky" (itself) for awhile now.

Thanks! Seats are super comfy, I got the standard M sport seats, not the optional ($4700) carbon buckets. The buckets are absolutely gorgeous, but a pain to get in and out of if you're skinny, and utterly unusable if you're.....built like I am.
My seats (not my car):
Carbon buckets in the same color:
It is full Merino leather, which is BMW's top grade, and full means it includes the upper and lower dash and door panels.

List was $1995 with a 5-year guarantee, I wound up at $1195 with a 7-year guarantee. Process takes 2 guys about 2-3 hours to complete. Still more expensive than doing it myself, but the "insurance" is worth it I think.
