Default Introducing The 2024 Ford Ranger and Ranger R-A-P-T-O-R (P703N) Debuting May 10, 2023

Typically, I do not discuss Ford developments for reasons (Bronco fiasco), but now that corporate has gone official, I'll say it's my pleasure to introduce you to the redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger and 2024 Ford R-A-P-T-O-R for USA and Canada debuting this Wednesday, on May 10, 2023.

2024 Ford Ranger RAPTOR SuperCrew 4WD

My husband proudly worked on this vehicle for both global and domestic (USDM) USA and Canada, for the past 7 years. It will be sold and marketed in the midsize pickup truck segment, against 2024 Toyota Tacoma, 2024 GM Colorado and Canyon, 2024 Nissan Frontier, and 2024 Jeep Gladiator. I can confirm the August 7, 2023 date to be accurate, but I'm not going to comment on launch date, as I'll only mention it privately.

I'm not sure I follow you on this one, Carmaker. Why do you refer to a Bronco "fiasco"? It has, in fact, been an astounding success in the American market....they are selling faster than the factory can produce them. The number here on D.C.-area roads has exploded in the last year or so, and it seems to be outselling even its brother Bronco Sport.

As for the new Ranger, I'm sure it will be far better than the last one. I reviewed the last one, test-drove it, and was not impressed at all. It was, essentially, a 7-year-old design from Australia, haphazardly-converted to left-hand-drive and American specs.

I guess maybe it can be taken as having double meaning? You misunderstood the context of what I stated, but that's a good thing and maybe correct too.
Spoiler

As for other Bronco fiascos in regards to the vehicle itself? I do not comment on internal corporate Ford Motor Company politics nor any ongoing FMC issues anymore. I'm finally posting this out of personal excitement, since it's not leaking proprietary information nor exposing intellectual property without granted permission. We are not supposed to act as spokespeople, so while you can talk anything about Ford vehicles as a journalist, I can't. I occasionally use middle people instead to pass around insight, since I am bound by NDAs in a sense per employment. I only do this, if entities like Ford Authority are dispensing misinformation and I don't see an official denial rejecting it as inaccurate.

The P375 was the internal code for the non-USDM Ranger, while USDM Ranger has been designated P375N. It's a stop-gap, which shares quite a bit with the Bronco, but not everything yet. The global 2022 Ranger P703 was the next step in the evolution of T6, while I'll consider our P375N in USA showrooms right now had an all-new frame, which served as the foundation of the new Bronco and every recently redesigned BOF Ford midsize vehicle.

The tophat is seemingly outdated, but the frame was much newer than foreign spec examples. It was interesting to see how much the global effort has been to deliver this vehicle to market, plus my own recent trip to Australia to help prepare F-150 launch.

Looks great.

Also a reminder that midsize truck pricing is getting wild.

Between this and the pretty impressive Colorado ZR2 the new Taco has its work cut out for it.

Huge win for Ford - that interior and seats are amazing.
The Raptor will be big seller for sure.

Not a fan of Ford Ranger trucks. The look is boring and I am not really a fan of the interior design. Overall should do OK for Ford and the Ford faithful, but it seems like this truck will do better overseas.

All of the recent Ford trucks seem to be a knockout in the body-styling department ....although the interiors in some of the lower-line ones could be improved.

I have to say Ford will sell a boatload of these and will overtake the segment. If there's anything that Ford does well, are pickup trucks.

Saw a Raptor Bronco at a dealer the other day. $85K with a $66K ADM.
