Lexus trying to command $70K with a Toyota reskin is ballsy. but seeing as how current RX500h can hit $70 already I don't doubt it at all.

Oooof I don't know. Yes it has good space (FINALLY!) and sure the RX500 powertrain should be better than the CVT variants. But I doubt this will have the air suspension that an MDX Type S has, nor the dynamics.

Textbook example of Toyota+ vehicle. Hope they prove me wrong. I doubt it since teaser shows exactly the same panels from GH but maybe the interior is awesome and better than whats in LX.

Teaser looks to show slightly different rear quarter panel and window than the GH. I would think the IP would be similar if not taken from the RX.

I honestly don't know much about this because I assume it's some gutless hybrid, or not a decent powertrain in any way except for fuel economy.
It would be nice if we could get a new, nice REAL Lexus.

i think this tx will be a giant snooze. a grand highlander with nicer interior (maybe).

4cyl engines with CVT don’t belong in large luxury brand 3 row SUVs.
Lexus completely wasted the V6 turbo powertrain in the LS500. It should have made its way to many more models as LS has been out for 5 years now…

While I do agree.. this will be a cash cow for Lexus, while they will have the now more off-road oriented GX in the same segment as well pushing higher ATPs too, so instead of having one singular RWD-based crossover SUV for the segment, they have a FWD-based crossover to take on the comfort 3-row, and a longitudinal BOF RWD-based crossover to take on the offroad segment. Would've loved to see the GA-L LF1 come to production, but this is not a bad plan of splitting the segment at all imo.
