I agree M&M! I would add...Clear coat breaks down, clouds, blisters, and peels eventually over time, even with proper care. I have noticed this process accelerates on darker colors, metallics and pearls. So, I still contend a non-metallic white paint is the most durable. My original white, clear-coated, Tundra paint still looks great after 22 years of non-garaged life in CA!

BTW...I have not experienced the staining issue you brought up. That said, I don't let anything that gets on my paint stay for long, and usually have adequate protection built up my clear-coat.

No, I don't work for the company, but I always did like Fiat's color-line-up, particularly on the 500. Fiat is also remarkable for also providing such a wide color-choice on the 500, period, particularly for such a low-priced car. You could even get a Coffee-Brown color-package to go with the built-in Expresso coffee machine inside LOL.

I saw this Green color on the new Lexus's last year at the dealer.

I wanted to like it but I didn't.

Hate is maybe too strong of a word but I'll just say it was a big NO. Lol

However, I saw it in the wild and have had a change of heart.

Lexus Green

I like deep greens on cars and certain SUVs, I think that one looks quite nice with the silver accent down low.

I also like the Lexus green depending on the car/truck. There is a green GX by my house and it looks great, especially in the sun where some gold pops out. Would I buy one in that color, no because I’m not sure I would like it after a while and be sick of it but I think it looks great.

Lexus Green

Looks kind of like British Racing Green in that light

I like that green a lot. I like a lot of dark greens and I am seeing more of them, maybe they’ll make a little bit of a comeback.

I was driving with my assistant yesterday though and we saw a beautiful dark green Mercedes and his comment was “I hate green cars, why would anybody buy a green car” THATS why colors like green reduce resale value. Some people love them, some people HATE them, something like Silver very few people hate and most would accept it. But a color like green can be a total deal breaker for a lot of people.

For instance, I don’t love white but I have had two white cars, I accept them if the circumstances are right. But I would never accept gold, purple, orange, etc.

Silver is a deal breaker for me for most models
I do love the Atomic Silver for LC500 coupe, but not the convertible

Thats really unusual though. Most buyers like silver fine.

Also the type of cars you buy. Sports and performance cars obviously buyers are more open to color.

I would accept a silver Aston Martin too, because that’s the James Bond colour, but for the newer DB Aston models, I prefer the darker metallic gray paints, and I don’t want a red, or yellow/gold Aston, and even British Racing Green doesn’t look too hot for an Aston for me

I like that color too, but they are worth less in the resale market. It’s not that nobody likes those colors, it’s just they aren’t as universally accepted.

Copper and Sage-Green seem to be two of the upcoming colors. Both IMO can be excellent if done well.

My favorite of the current BMW greens is Aurora Diamond Green Metallic:

Incredibly dynamic color. Notice the sapphire shift on the rear end because of the light and curves.
