The younger generations have no brand loyalty to the American manufacturers anymore, that era is quickly passing. They would rather have a car made by Apple or Google then Ford or GM.

Perhaps. I won't necessarily disagree, but there are also a lot of Ford fanboys who buy from the Blue Oval simply out of long-habit (their relatives and ancestors bought them), or because they ARE Fords. Another new Tesla model is not likely going to win them over....nor is GM's (IMO) excellent Bolt EUV.
Again, remains to be seen. Tesla products have had a lot of well-publicized quality-issues lately. The Bolt EUV, on the other hand, has had very high customer satisfaction.

^^ This is why they axed the Bolt ^^ They sell like crazy here, but GM loses money on them. The rumor now is that now that GM made the charging deal with Tesla they may bring the Bolt back with their latest generation battery pack

The official story--which may or may not be the whole story, but probably is not an outright lie--is that the Bolt EV and EUV are being discontinued because they are an older architecture. They need to repurpose the plant they're built in to build EVs (like the Equinox and Blazer EVs) based off of their new architecture.

Chevy dealer near me has them all lined up for sale. Down the street, the Toyota has a few trucks/4Runners but a bunch of other brand used trucks/SUVs.

0-60 is a long-established metric (yes, only a single metric) of a car's capabilities; I don't understand why you keep making it about driving style. No one ever said anything about you, or your driving style.
I agree that a slow driver may not care about going fast. But a car that is unable to go 0-60 in less than 9 seconds in this day and age is slow, no matter who is driving.

I guarantee if the average driver in this country didn't have a stopwatch, they would think 9 seconds is at least decently fast.

That doesn't change the fact that in 2023, a 9 second 0-60 time is objectively slow. Whether you care about that or not is totally and subjectively up to you.

9 seconds is slow. If you have only ever driven weaker cars it may feel okay but it's just not much to write home about, it's the bare minimum really. If you have that level of power you simply don't have certain tactics available if you need them.
