Lexus recently sent over the LX 600 F Sport Handling for review. I enjoyed it a lot more than the Ultra Luxury -- more value, better ride quality -- but man I really miss the 5.7's smoothness. That said, even though it's a mixed review, this is the one I'd recommend buying if you're set on a 600.
It makes a lot more sense to call offroad package F-Sport instead of putting skinny tires on an offroad vehicle and call it F-Sport. I also think Overtrail package on GX550 should have been called F-Sport.
F-sport in a big giant SUV is pretty funny. So are those ultra thin tires. Those all belong on cars like an IS or an M3, not this thing.
Those 22" are what gives it better handling, but at the cost of harsher ride and road noise. It's that giant grill that I just hate more than the thinner sidewalls
@703 I wish I had the chance to review them literally back to back to make that exact comparison, but I would say a lightly used LX 570 would be a better overall value for sure
@xjokerz & @AMIRZA786 It's funny, I recently drove the Audi RS Q8 and it's simply stunning how smooth that is on 23-inchers, so it's odd to me that the LX on 22s can't dampen the effects of the shorter sidewall. Still, I wish they were all on 20s or 21s for just a touch more comfort since it's not a truly sporty (handling) SUV.
@Vladi I'm not sure Lexus would want to pollute its on-road handling branding with off-roading (although Toyota offers a sporty Camry with a TRD package that's nothing like their trucks) so who knows. I do wish there was an off-road package for the LX. Maybe the rumored LX 700h will offer something like the Sequoia TRD Pro (which is really fun -- review on that coming soon.)
@Margate330 I agree. I know the barn-sized grille isn't for everyone, but to my eyes, the LX is very sharp in person.

I agree that "F-sport Handling" is a rather hilarious moniker to apply to the LX. However, those tires are 50 profile. They don't have rock-crawling sized sidewalls, but they're not "ultra thin".
For comparison purposes, the tires on all but the base 4 cyl Camry have a 40 or 45 profile, and the rears on my M3 are 30 (fronts are 35)
Concerning "skinny tires". 95% of owners won't be rock climbing this thing anyway. And for that rare occasion, you could always get a second set of appropriate wheels and off-road tires.
