Nothing that I remember. Even the seat controls (where you never see them) are detailed and extremely classy and luxurious.

That specific thing beats the SC430 if it has LS430-era seat controls which I'm sure it does. They're fine and high quality but nothing earth shattering. On LC they are very sharp, details were sweat.

No, all soft stitched leather and padded materials.

They're just clearly not interested in doing that

Lexus has been heavy on the PR spin that the TX utilizes more welds and adhesives than the Grand Highlander to better justify the price differential. They also say the tuning of the two cars is different, different throttle mappings etc.

But "leagues" better? Not a chance.

savagegeese gives it a thorough look over...

tl;dr - quieter, better handling grand highlander with nicer materials

These look pretty good in person, pics don’t do it justice.

It looks big and substantial.

Spent some time looking at a TX500h F Sport today at the Seattle International Auto Show. Exterior is MUCH, MUCH better in person. It is large, substantial, and looks really good.

The interior? I appreciated the room and overall design but it is not very flashy. Front row/dash was good, but the second and third rows were a little plain - everything in the interior was black. Overall I liked it, though. So yes, I'd buy one if I were in the market, but I think it's bigger than what we would want. It's a lot larger than I had expected. They had it parked next to an LX and the LX did not appear as much bigger as I had expected.

The long lines to look at it and sit in it at the auto show just go to show how overdue this vehicle is.

Good to see Lexus keeping the V6 Hybrid alive. After dropping it from the RX.

There is no V6 hybrid, 4 cylinder hybrid only.

the TX 550h+ is a 3.5L V6 Hybrid.

Toyota also plans to use this system in the Century.

Like MPalmer said, the 550h+ does still have the V6 hybrid but sadly it also has the CVT...

One of my friends just picked up one of these, a TX 500h F-Sport. I spent some time driving it around LA. It looked pretty good in person and drove in a pleasant manner that will surely hit the mark for most. What I found a bit jarring was the ride quality - once we left Beverly Hills and went over some poorly maintained roads I was shocked at how stiff the suspension was. There's not enough handling payoff there to warrant the crunchy ride quality.

This is an issue with a lot of Toyota/Lexus machpherson strut setups, they tune them firm to try and make the cars feel dynamic but that kills ride quality. They also don't cope with big wheels well.

They have struggled with this since they first tried making these cars feel sportier in 2013...this type of suspension is in its best form when its allowed to be soft and not made dynamic at all.
