There were several distinct vehicles that wore the name Crown. The Crown Athlete was indeed sold here as the GS.

The crown looks good. The camry imo looks horrible. Hate the front and the side of the rear bumper.

No, the Aristo was sold as a GS. Aristo V300 was one of the best GS ever made, not sold in the US.

After a day of reflection, the Camry exterior is very meh. Too bulky in certain places, plus there's something off (and overly derivative) about the front and rear lights. But, it certainly looks like a Camry.

On the other hand, the interior design looks nice to me personally. I'm expecting good things for at least the interior of the next-gen Lexus ES... feels like the exterior of a re-designed ES is still going to be a huge wildcard.

The Crown will be huge seller.
I think Camry was made uglier so ppl stop buying sedans, although I’m sure it will still be to rental/ Uber car.

Toyota continues to bring out a lot of cool products.
Too bad nothing similar is going on for Lexus.

Side profile of the Camry looks like the current gen. Taillights look like a thinner version of the last gen Accord. Looks like they took some time to integrate the center screen, unlike most where it looks tacked on or just sits on top of the dash.

Man, that Camry looks good (for a Camry)

if the interior noise is low enough, I don’t mind being seen “in a Camry.”

Default 2025 Camry Announced

Why am I posting this here❓ Well, the new Camry only comes as a Hybrid What does that tell us about the future of the LC

Camry is a miss, although still better looking than the Accord. After the nice new Prius, maybe I was expecting too much. Good to see you can get a pan roof with the hybrid, which was not possible in this generation Camry/ES.
I like the Crown Signia, I hope it will be sized like a Venza and not too big. Especially since NX hybrids are hard to find here and seem overpriced.
While I don't like the Crown Signia name, the Venza has failed twice, which is hard to do for a Toyota product, particularly a crossover. As mentioned above, Crown Cross would have made more sense.

Wow.

Thread title should be changed to 2025 Camry, though.

Smaller displacement, turbos and hybrids is the future for all Toyotas. The last Land Cruiser was a 5.7L V8, the new one is a 2.4L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid:

Buy your LC's now, they'll be worth something when people want to hear a V8 over ^^^ this embarrassment.

The camry is a let down, but is the way sedans are headed, why would toyota invest in a dying market segment, so I get it. Look to the ES to be the same frankenstein hybrid of old and new styling.

The signia interior looks better than the RX?? I sat in an RX and while the materials quality was fine, it just felt like something a toyota should be. I haven't sat in a toyota in a while, so maybe toyotas are even worse?

the camry is primarily sold with a 4 cyl engine. the 6 was optional and rarely bought.

switching to a hybrid makes the 4 more responsive and efficient. makes sense.

nothing to do with the LC which is obviously a unicorn in lexus' lineup.
