I like the short front overhang. Something new and improved for Toyota.

I think my issue with the Camry is that I was expecting something fully new. I like the front end, but then the rest of the exterior is pretty much just as it has been. I definitely like the interior though.

The current Venza never made sense to me, but this new Crown Signia finally make sense and I'm really liking it.

An all-new Camry was never in the cards. The prevlous-gen Camry was the first completely new ground-up redo in 20 years. With SUVs and electrics both demanding investment, there was no way there'd be enough spare cash to revolutionize a slowly declining gas-engine sedan this go-round.

I think Camry was made uglier so ppl stop buying sedans, although I’m sure it will still be to rental/ Uber car.

Toyota continues to bring out a lot of cool products.
Too bad nothing similar is going on for Lexus.
I am really liking what they did to the Crown Signia. A lot of lexus tech features have trickled down to the crown series. It's sharp looking and seems to have a blend of all 3 lexus vehicles (CT200h, NX, RX).
Totally understand why the Venza is getting mothballed (too similar, a RX shaped bargain, with more space than a NX). The 'c' branding makes more sense now (corolla, camry, crown).

Keep the good stuff coming on this model. Look forward to seeing them in person at upcoming 2024 car shows!

i wonder how much the signia will eat into rav4 (and Camry) sales. it's just WAY nicer.

maybe it will just be priced WAY higher.

The base Venza and Crown Sedan start at $35k and $40k respectively... This is bigger (same wheelbase as a Highlander apparently) and looks nicer than the Venza, so my guess is $40k+ starting like the existing Crown we have now. Of all the Crowns, I still think the Crown Sport and RWD sedan look the best.

This design could be from any car brand, but as generic as it is, it's crazy to agree with this and honestly I find that to be sad. But the great thing for Toyota is that is all it takes for them to sell a boat load of them. Just don't make it ugly and the masses will buy it in droves. Lol.

Too early at this point. It's obvious that the venza type of car buyers will move on to the Signia.

What makes more sense to me is to see how Toyota is mirroring Subaru. The Signia seems to fit in nicely above the compact suvs (get more space, at a cost of "more" wallet, without a compact feeling). If Toyota can 'win' in these vehicle comparisons, they benefit from market churn that's no different than what goes on in smartphones: android vs iphone .

For example
legacy - corolla / crown
crosstek - corrolla cross
outback - crown signia
forester - rav4 series
ascent - highlander / grand highlander

A few months ago, I test drove a RAV4. What struck me is how a little higher up in both seating and what you see out the front windshield. The Crown Signia can offer an alternative to RAV4 in comfort, is easier to get in and out of, has better road vision, and be a versatile all around town vehicle. Likewise, for Camry fans -- they may want something larger in between the corolla cross and RAV4. Buick had such a product in the Regal TourX, and it got lost in the market. I think the Venza in a way got lost (perhaps branding confusion? it's nothing like the old venza, and the 'v' letter put it at the bottom of car model lookups, which coincidentally Volvo suffers from this naming issue among car brands. ) Toyota learned a very important lesson to establish a positive brand identity and the Signia looks sharp from the get go. Piggybacking behind the 'crown' nameplate puts the c's at the top of the alphabet model order.

It looks pretty good in white IMO. I do wish the XSE had a light colored interior instead of only black and red..

devil's in the details and i think this one has interior and exterior very well executed for the likely price point.
it's classy without being flashy.
it's big without being huge and in your face ugly (like so much today).
it's not 'trying' to be some off road poser vehicle.
