Auto Insurance Premiums Up Sharply in 2023

I'm sure that, like me, you are a careful enough driver that you can afford to increase your deductibles without too much risk.
I wouldn't recommend increasing the deductible on the Comprensive (Non-Collision) part very much, though...a fallen tree-branch, hailstorm, rock on the windshield, kids vandalizing, theft, etc.....can happen almost anywhere, at any time, just too much of a risk. I keep a $0 deductible on my Comprehensive.....it only adds a few extra $$$ to the policy, and my vehicle is exposed more than something that is garage-kept.

I usually run $1,000 deductibles on collision. When I switched to Progressive from Allstate it was sich a HUGE savings that I just left them at $500. I increased them back to $1,000. My comprehensive deductible was $50, I raised it to $250. Saved me about $200 a year, worth it...
Ah.....so you let Flo talk you into it (Just kidding)

Actually my old agent came out of retirement and sold me the Progressive policy. He’s the only reason why I went to Progressive lol. Saved me $2,500 a year…
Flo keeps me from wanting to stay at Progressive lol

Reviving this thread again. My business partner's wife got a new Q7 through our business back in September and I since we pay monthly I hadn't paid much attention to the premium until today. We were paying $2,800 a year for it and my partners F250 was over $2,000 a year through State Farm.
I used SW's insurance contact again and got a quote today through Erie on our business insurance, workers comp insurance, umbrella and auto policies. By switching we are saving $4,800 a year on insurance. I can't believe how much these rates have been jacked up over the past few years. If you haven't already, I would do some price checking to be sure you aren't being robbed.
