Well yeah, the much cheaper knock off of the real thing always sells much better lol.
FWIW the car the Santa Fe is pretending to be is a Land Rover Defender, which sold 1,608 units in June...

lol the Defender gets ragged on all over the internet for looking like a blown up Kia Soul or Honda Element
My problem with the Santa Fe is that it's a compact-mid SUV holding up a body that its wheelbase just isn't long enough to get away with. It's a worse execution of what Kia already did with the EV9 which has much nicer proportions.
I am pleasantly surprised by how good the interior is on the Santa Fe though, like how it has stitched pleather upper door panels standard which isn't even in some of the Genesis models. It makes the embarrassing cost cutting BMW and Audi are doing with their interiors even more evident.
