And those rubber-band tires don't have much sidewall.

That looks like the Calligraphy trim, which has 245/45R21 tires. They have 4.3" of sidewall, just a touch less than the 4.5" of our Q7's 285/40R21s, which ride amazingly well; and about a half inch less than the 18s on your Encore GX. It's plenty. If that's still a concern, the XRT trim puts 31" offroad tires on 18" wheels.

Does it come with a steering wheel club?

How can they copy something if they don't know what it is?

Because a car kind of makes you remember an obscure car from 30 years ago doesn't mean that they copied the design lol

In my area (DC/MD/VA) local police departments recently have been passing out free clubs to Hyundai/Kia owners of affected vehicles.

as this looks like a range rover, even the trim sounds similar with the calligraphy; RR has autobiography...

a very cartoony/minecraft car - consistent with the rest of their ioniq lineup, and it will sell well i'm certain.

Other than the rear view, I don't actually mind it.

That MT article picture gives me Ford Flex vibes.

Many cities in Florida doing the same thing. We also have a Kia and I went & picked up our free club. Also had the software update done & they actually put a sticker on each front window stating such. Not sure if would-be thieves would read those stickers tho!

It's good - the rear was messed up but it's growing on me.

Frankly, I'm glad we are getting more choices for blocky SUVs and not the ugly egg-shaped vehicles that are all over the place now. An SUV should be blocky for better cargo room in the back. The egg-shaped SUVs are all disgusting.

review... this is another home run... love the dash uv sanitizer compartment! love interior overall, exterior is cliche faux rugged but useful space from that at least.

I'm seeing these on the road now and I dislike the exterior even more in person than I do in pics. I think Hyundai/Kia/Genesis make some absolutely beautiful cars, but this one is a real head scratcher to me. Clearly these things are subjective, but to me this is one of the most odd looking vehicles I have seen in quite a while.

Same here. The front I don't mind, but I really don't the back of it
