I read recently that Subaru is not considering PHEVs in their formula. The data collected from the expensive Crosstrek PHEV was that people did not charge them. They used the PHEV status to take advantage of carpool lanes. I am trying to understand going to that expense to purchase a PHEV and to not charge. At my office, the charging is free...that said, I have patient who only charges her Mazda there because there is no charging option at their apartment or work. ....so again, why spend that much on a vehicle and not take advantage of the money saving tech?
