Living with the Rarest, Coolest Corolla Ever Made: GR Corolla Morizo Edition
I wanted to see what it was like to daily drive a Core or Circuit GR Corolla in the city this year... But Toyota accidentally sent me a 1-of-200 MORIZO Edition to test out instead.
it's only the coolest corolla since it's really not a corolla lol... it's really a toyota auris that in the US gets called the corolla hatchback / GR corolla
speaking strictly in terms of corolla sedan, the coolest (aka, the only cool one lol) has got to be the original XRS!
only came in manual, and used the special 2ZZ-GE with its 8500 rpm redline, VVT-i with lift, and shared applications such as the lotus elise and exige!
edit: but still that's awesome they sent you a morizo edition! i've been wanting to give one of those a go since i first saw pics... i'd also love to see what a 2 door model would look like, a 4 door hot hatch irks me (or at least irked adjacent) in a similar way a 4 door wrangler does
here's a technicality for you then... the Renault Clio V6 and the Peugeot 205 T16
both are "FWD cars" but each of these is actually modified to be RR layout for the purposes of homologating a racing variant... i submit them to be cool, and like actually cool, not just cool for a hatchback or something like that lol
I actually think this car and the Civic Type R are pretty cool and people that own the Civic Type R say how well the car drives and handles even with FWD. I have no personal experience but a friend of mine has a Type R and loves it.
