I'd rather have the package shelf in nice carpet or leather.
Seats are too small.

hmm interesting. i'm 6'3 and fit fine. i have a coupe so maybe that has a bit more headroom than the 'vert with top up.
* so the lc seat fore/aft control is funny... as you push it back the seat BACK goes more upright to allow the seat to go back further. so you get to make the trade-odd.

I fit fine in a Porsche Boxster though! You gotta love zee Germans!

so at 6'3" i have my lc seat set at lowest and back as far as possible* and no issue with head room.

long in the torso and he just doesn’t fit well in a lot of cars. He also likes to sit really upright.

You honestly don't enjoy a great V8 engine?
It's like that SL43, I could not care less that it would dust me. It sounds horrendous. Beyond horrendous. I may be way slower with my V8 R129 but it's a lot more fun to get there. 4 cylinder engines sound and feel like ***.
People aren't freaks if they don't use it, though. And we're not whining because the best engines have been ripped from us, we're outraged.

“Remember when” is the lowest form of communication lol
Seriously, you have to just accept that the past is the past and the future is going to look different. There are a lot of great cars out there today and there are going to be a lot of great cars in the future. All the cars you love there were people out of touch and attached to the part who hated them compared to what was made years before too

you were referring to 'dusting' an accord.
Big deal, in the 90s you could get a standard C5 Corvette that went 3.9 seconds to 60 with this thing called a stick shift!!! It was cheap compared to the competition back then too.
enjoyed my cars back then, but don't want them now!
So why do you own an LC500 with a NA V8?

i don't get it, but not important.

I don’t understand being outraged by the loss of something I would never buy. When Lexus botched the LS500 I was outraged but that’s something that I would have bought and it was frustrating. But, you are happy driving 20+ year old cars and always buy used, there are plenty of V8 powered cars you will be able to buy for the rest of your life.

The only C5 in the '90s that got anywhere close to that time was the Lingenfelter, which did it in 4.0. Just the modifications alone cost as much as a base Camry. The base C5 manual ran it in 4.5-4.7,depending on your source, about the same as a base 911 Carrera. But of course, 0-60 is not what the 911 is about.

LS400 contender for finest luxury sedan in the world then, even lacking many features competitors had. It was built and just performed just that well.
Now? LS is on chopping block I bet, I called that one 5 years ago. We'll see. Nobody gives a rat's *** about it. Back then any LS400 was lustworthy, hell I was 16-18 and drooled over them. More than the GS400 which was targeted for younger people.
The C5 didn't have the best build quality, Steve isn't wrong... but it was a hell of a Corvette in general and drove great, as others mentioned.
You also got 200hp in the top line Accord but it was from a sweet VTEC V6 engine.
Bit, I'm not moving goal posts.. I'm not playing games. I just don't care about EVs, not really. Nothing personal, it's just like food. I don't care that you can beat me on this street. You can't beat me to other cities in an urgent and very dire situation, that's 100% guaranteed. I just went through it with an ICE vehicle, stopped once to get gas and was even flustered with that. Charging I couldn't imagine.

I became a true interior snob the minute my brother bought a C5 Corvette when we were teens. That car was truly the plastic fantastic.
He is still an American muscle guy but thank goodness they’re built to higher standards nowadays. Great car on the track though despite the numb steering.
