I am not quite feeling the black colour. But looks look overall.
I also think that because Toyota cancelled it in the US market but continued to see it in other markets. That might have helped. But yes, video games for sure. Fast and the Furious for sure helped.
I didn’t know it lived in Lexus products until just recently
The internals are the same as those in the GTE. In my early days here, guys were doing big single turbos on the stock GE in the 1GS and doing big boost on otherwise stock 2JZ-GE engines with high mileage. It was fun looking at their dyno sheets with 700+ hp at the wheels. It’s a great engine and delivers smooth and reliable performance or high hp with turbos. I was very pleased with the 1GS. It was an older car when I bought it. I was 31, just bought a place, and was paying student loans. It was absolutely the best car I could have purchased at the time. I see old photos and see that it really was a beautiful car.

I was annoyed when BMW cost cut the F-generation vehicles and took out the articulating passenger wiper. The current generation doesn’t have them either. Mercedes includes them even on their “cheap” models like the CLA.

Dialed in an Uber for a return trip from a night on the town, and was rewarded with an E Class wagon, an E220d. I felt bad for this poor, abused car. Exhaust was rattling, as was a front strut. Tire pressure monitor light was on, as well as the check engine light. Wasn't sure it was going to get us back to our hotel! But...cool ambient lighting!

The dyno part was cool.

Too bad the turbo version was never offered in North America.
I honestly had never really cared much about I6's until the B58. I was always a V8 or bust guy, but the B58 has made the inevitable demise of the V8 easier to swallow. Luckily I get to enjoy both. I've mostly been driving the truck around this week and the Coyote's exhaust note is intoxicating.

My best friend took delivery of his "new" Q7, more pictures to follow later but we threw it on the lift at 11 yesterday since he simply had to check it over lol!
Somehow has no issues, 117k miles and is only missing it's under covers and engine cover. He is going to do a stage 2 setup to reverse the TDI emissions fix and bump up power to 325/490 HP/TQ. We are also obviously doing all services to have the car set to zero
Moved to this from an RX and is extremely pleased with it!
