i'm enough of a MK IV fanboy (at least i've driven one!) that i'd rather see the name die instead of revived at a fraction of its former power

awesome car and yes fantastic for modding, all toyota had to do was literally not arrange the letters S, U, P, R, and A in exactly that order when naming it and people would even be happy to overlook the whole BMW thing

Sorta like a C5 vette on paper vs actually driving one. I've had many "don't meet your heros" moments with cars at this point....irony is the ones that people say are overpriced or horrible to own are some of the best I've driven

First time a drove a MK4 I was severely underwhelmed, it's just another 90s sports car with the "loose" feel and not nearly as solid or fast as I was lead to believe. Built is better, obviously but stock examples are a lot of hype vs modern cars IMO

it was a 1994 turbo model and completely stock, based on the published HP numbers i was expecting it to feel a bit faster than my LS with "only" 30 less HP, but when that 2nd turbo finally kicks in at ≈4500 RPM it feels WAY faster! i couldn't believe how much punch that bigger turbo delivers when it spools up, and i loved that the car was clearly set up to be a comfortable grand tourer
by this point i'd already owned the E55 for almost a year but the shove of the 2JZ still seriously impressed me... especially when considered in the context of the early 90s

I live BBS LM wheels, they make any car look good to me.
You can’t compare a current car to a car of that era, a high 12 second car was fast back then but there are so many daily driven cars that are that fast these days. Heck my X7 is that fast. Regardless, I loved my MKIV and regret selling it but you are right, I was a wet noodle with the targa top off (but was awesome driving with it off) and the creaks and rattles were bad. Still one of my favorite cars I’ve owned.

The 2nd turbo hit actually makes it feel more like what it's talked up to be but I was expecting that from zero not it to feel weak until then. The car is also not as well isolated so it may "feel" and sound fast but the rate the sped climbs isn't as insane as I was lead to believe. Sorta like the WS6 I just had in, felt WAY faster than it actually was on timer.
Polar opposite of my cars I guess, mine don't feel like much is happening while going low/high 3 secs to 60 and sub 12s

New Audi Q6 has been unveiled and like the new 5 Series, it seems interior materials have been dramatically cheapened compared to existing Audi models. A lot more hard plastics like the Q4, including upper sills for the rear seats. Rather disappointing.

haha... cloth seats are the new 'luxury'. ![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)
also, why does this q6 have a big front overhang vs the macan ev that looks a billion times better?

I’m most offended by the wall of touchscreens. ![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)
the interior looks so dark and depressing.

Eh, I'm just not a fan of cloth at all, and I question how it will wear
