Los Angeles is just insane, any of us would just drool.... We always went to outdoor patios off Sunset just for the car watching.
Never been to LA. But yeah, I see a lot of cool cars. Old and new. Expensive and cheap too. Lot of wealthy people in Toronto

LA is ridiculous. I would KILLLLLL to be able to drive the Silver Arrow SL500 around Los Angeles, people would know exactly what it is. And it would be unique, even in Los Angeles. I didn't see a whole lot of R129s when we lived there. R107s were like Civics.

i didn't get to talk to the owner or look for any indication so don't know, sorry. the typical 327cu.in at that time is 5.6L.

I noticed the tires have the raised white lettering.

That's how we did it back then.

At least in the late 80's when I was old enough to drive.

Car looks original.

Anything even remotely modern I want completely blacked-out tires and absolutely zero chrome on the wheels. But on that Vette it's period-correct and I like it.

I like some chrome on the wheels. I have chrome outers and red centers. The chrome is so much easier than polished outers. Man are those labor intensive. I am not a fan of black wheels, but I am in the minority on that. They tend to disappear is all.

The brake dust.....it never stops! I'm going to try an experiment when it warms up to try and prevent dust buildup

Both of my IS F Sports had tremendous brake dust issues on the front wheels. I don't drive cars hard, so I applied a ceramic coating product to the wheels and I swapped the brake pads for pads that did not offer the same performance, but also didn't create tons of brake dust. It worked for me, but the majority of the IS community would never make the choice I made when I swapped the pads. To each their own of course, but ceramic coating without changing the pads was an improvement for a few of the IS crew.

Brake dust, I can't drive out of my neighborhood without my wheels coated.

Benzes are terrible for that.

‘I wonder what a Mercedes-Benz service or replacement costs at a Mercedes dealer for your SL.
