If I were to do it over again I would buy a Camry hybrid over Prius. More space, more power and still capable of 50+mpg.

All 4 bangers??? Here’s a 2.0t…it’s no V8….needs a retune to throw little more timing ant it and spice up the midrange. This is on 93 pump. Pulls little better on E85.

The acceleration is impressive, but no, I do not think it sounds good nor would I desire any car powered by that engine.

That 2.0t Jag starting up today and driving off was even worse than I thought it would be.

It feels like 80% of the BMW's I pass are 2.0T's. I can't imagine buying that when you could get a 3.0 I6. I get that the B48 has more than enough power for most people, but the B58 is just so much better.

Not quite the sound of some soothing V8s but a good feeling when they realize they picked on the wrong 4 banger😏 I think mine has piped in artificial sound. It changes with each driving mode I believe. 🥴

B58 is a great platform. Would like to get my hands on one.

I used to own an ‘07 Camry V6 (bought new). It’s still in the family. I believe it has around 180k-190k miles on it. I would pick the Camry hybrid over a non hybrid 4 cylinder Camry just for the fuel mileage alone.

BMW/Audi and I presume Mercedes OE batteries (made by Varta) last an impressively long time. Part of that is likely construction, but part is almost certainly due to being better protected from the elements due to not being under hood. Most are in the trunk, though the one in our Q7 is under the passenger floorboard.

That Q7s factory battery is currently 6.5 years old, and last time I tested it was at 96% health. It has lived its entire life outdoors. My 13-year old E90 has spent most of its life outside, and only recently got its third battery (OE 2010/2016/2023).

Only if you buy from a dealer. Quality AGM batteries only cost roughly $250 from your local auto parts store. That's what my E90 has gotten (actually an upgrade from the factory FLA design), and what the Q7 will get. An OE battery will be almost $700 over the dealer parts counter, and something like $900-950 installed. That's what my chiropractor's assistant was quoted for her X3. I sent her to my indy, who charged $400 all-in.

Battery is battery, you can buy one from whoever you like as long as specs match. Factory batteries in German stuff are usually made by Varta and can last a stupid long time.....

My W12 had its factory one when I bought it and it's still totally fine, they also tend to oversize the battery so it lasts longer.

Yes, I agree, The Germans, like to put the battery in the back of the vehicle for better weight distribution, but it also lasts longer because it’s away from the heat of the engine. Shame Lexus stuffs it in the dirty hot engine bay.

People complain all the time about the remote mount setups so they probably wanted to just make it easy for the typical Lexus owner

My favourite is when Mercedes has a battery up front in the engine bay, but also has a battery in the trunk.

I think Q7 and Toureg are under the power seat up front

Those are AMG SL-Type split rims manufactured by BBS.
They came standard on several AMG models back in the day, but could be ordered as option.

Fronts are 18x8.5" ET25
Rears are 18x10.0" ET25

I have them on my SL55 AMG
