Yep, and RWD. Based on the Ranger platform. Chevy Astro/GMC Safari was the same, as they were based on the S-10/Sonoma pickup. Was nice to have both styles available, as the Ford/GM ones were FAR better at towing and very light offroading. But the FWD unibody Chrysler ones were easier to live with overall and do the car-like things that most families were looking for, which drove their explosive success.
Yeah the Chrysler vans were better for a family. The FWD and unibody made them more spacious and easier to drive. Rode much better.
That Aerostar was a terrible car. Lots of electrical stuff stopped working, windows etc. It left us stranded on the way to and from WV several times, overheating. I remember my dad and a random guy in the middle of the night trying to get it to cool down in Rainelle, WV the old country route over the mountain before they finished 64. It also fired a spark plug clear out of the block one time climbing a grade on 64 near Goshen, I always point out to my kids where my mom and the dog and I ran up the embankment to get away from the road while my dad figured out what the hell had happened lol
Oh I'm sure it does help, but the last LX570 I test drove with AHC I commented on the dive the first time I stopped quickly. You can't beat physics.
Oh I know. But still, there’s not a terrible amount of dive in that video, I don’t think at least. I was expecting to see much more and then another rebound.
So for tax purposes I know I spent about $1,800 a year fueling the previous gas Pacificas, but we are driving this way more. We have already done what we would normally do in a year because I am driving this some on weekends and we always took mine on some small trips because I didn’t like driving the other Pacificas. I figure we have saved $1,000 on fuel already at least, possibly more.
I feel your math is off. With those posted numbers, I can't seem to see how you have saved that much.

Bear in mind that the total $1,800 figure annually for the Pacifica was for similar mileage, that only got driven about 8,000 miles a year. So that’s half, which is $900. Also bear in mind that I’m driving this more over the S560 so the fuel savings there is bigger because it’s more expensive to fuel.
At the car wash. Check out hate behind me. W223 Maybach behind that.
I gotta say, the 7 has way more impact than the Maybach

It's an omen lol! For me the 7 Series looks better out in the wild vs. pictures.
The Toyota Van Wagon was definitely unique. Ours was two tone with silver on top and a light metallic blue on the bottom. It was a bit of a rare bird in that it was a 5 speed manual. It also had an ice maker. I drove it for a year in college and it was great because I could get 4 people and 4 bikes in it for mountain biking trips. The attached is similar, but obviously without the two tone.
