Haha, my Mother has the LS430 due to some logistics, was gonna go get it back today. She wants to keep driving it (20 year old car) for a while, she says its very easy to drive which is true. You guide that car more than you drive it, like a big yacht. She can drive it as much as she likes.
I swear I heard the engine revving when I was on the phone with her..... LOL. I know what happened, she pulled out onto a semi-main road and it shifted into 3rd-4th gear and she's not used to the throttle response which is lazy....so she triggered the 3-2 downshift which actually is aggressive feeling.
BTW the plate looking wheels are stunning on the Maybach.

Out of all of our vehicles including 4 cylinder “buzzy” hybrids, PHEVs and V8s, my “buzzy” 4 cylinder FBO big turbo TRACK car is the most quiet at 75mph. All of them tested on the same road. I actually had my wife and kids in the car with me this time. I told them I need them to be quiet for a few seconds.
Also got some datalogs for my tuner for an upcoming revision tune while out with the family making a Whole Foods and Target run.

Civic as a track car is an interesting choice....did you address the cooling issues I assume with the FBO stuff?

I added a vented Seibon CF hood and I have an oil cooler. It helps!! When/If all fails, blast the heat!!🥵 or 1 cool down lap helps a ton!! Sometimes I take a couple or 3 of the hottest months off in the summer and wait until fall when hopefully temps start to drop.

You’re not controlling for some variable, no way your Civic is quieter than an LX lol
I actually like those monoblock wheels, they remind me of the same LS400 wheels!

Lead Lap
A friend of mine has one and although I don’t remember him mentioning any cooling issues from talking to him and watching reviews somehow for a FWD car it defies physics and handles amazingly well and doesn’t feel like FWD. It’s amazing the lap times that car does compared to even the track version of the GR Corolla. Not a big fan of the looks but super impressed by the car and engineering.

I like it!

ikr. I can’t keep up either.
Why running so hot?
You're pushing to extremes?

You can’t mimic on the street what it’s capable of on a road course track. I keep the factory wheels on whenever I’m not on track to give it that “stock” look. I swap on a different of wheels/tires for the track.
You will never experience cooling issues just driving on the street. Only on the track hot lapping lap after lap after lap is when the heat start to rise. I’ve had to blast the heat several times to help try to cool things down so it won’t start pulling timing/power.
Thanks. Only on the track. Whenever I drive it around town, I drive it like a normal car whether I’m dropping off/picking up kids at school/daycare or making a target/Whole Foods run. I don’t drive it as much lately.
