DC isn't an area where its rewarding to drive a car like that.
I remember we were in CA one time for a conference and we had to drive from LAX to Santa Barbara. We rented a Camaro Convertible, because you know...CALIFORNIA! Yeah we sat like that on the 405 and just baked to death in that convertible, slathering on sunscreen, 105 degrees. We refused to put the top up though, because CALIFORNIA!

97 F on 95 N in May sounds about right for DC. It’s why I came back to CA early in my third year in N Virginia. You see a lot of very nice cars going nowhere fast. Of course, SoCal traffic is reportedly even worse. The weather is better though. My AE86 was my only car and my DD in the Beltway area. The a/c worked overtime.

If traffic ever gets that bad here, I'm moving to the desert or deep country.

If you are that rich, it's a playground.
We weren't, and yeah um we wanted a house and to own RE.

One of my vendor reps lived out that way 20+ years ago and his office was a bit up the coast if I recall. He quickly discovered that if he stayed at work an hour longer, then went out for dinner and drinks near the office for 2 hours, he only got home an hour later.

I’m the same way. I like it COLD. My wife complains all the time that the house is always freezing inside.

I have Raynauds (cold fingers syndrome) so I don’t like it much cooler than 69. I keep my thermostat at 70-71, I have family members that keep their thermostats at 76-78 degree, that’s a trifle bit warm for me. But I am far more heat tolerant than cold!

My AC is on year 31 of operation, I request it to do 72 when it's 80s outside and 76 when 90s....I'm just happy it's still working!
If I had a new system I would set to 68 and leave it there for sure!
