I hate ford with a passion. Extremely annoying to work on, everything rusts, parts break for no reason, engines suck, and generally just poorly designed products.
F250-350-450 though are the best trucks.
Mine has been great over 100k miles so far. Only problems have been a dead starter and a leaky o-ring in the upper radiator hose where it connects to the water pump. It's been very cheap to own and maintain, other than gas. These 2nd gen Coyotes are bulletproof.

I have SO much time sunk into those damn 5.3s and ecoboosts for idiotic issues and it's always the same problems never ending since they never correct problems until the generation ends.

I can't remember, are you running a NA V8 or are you doing Ecoboost?
I never looked into it so I'm talking out of my you know what but the Tritan "was" a good engine but I never trusted the Ecoboost, not sure why.
Made it back from Albany! Drove the Pacifica about 1,000 miles over the last 6 days. It is really amazing to me how much better the PHEV is than the other Pacificas we've had, it feels nice and solid at 90 and the powertrain is so much smoother. Was very comfortable for the trip, I just wish it had lane centering. Just got out of it after 400 miles today and with really only one stop for gas and drinks I wasn't sore, etc.
Another cool trick we learned, when you remote start it in the winter the engine charges the EV battery. After about a 15 minute remote start session it as 12-13% battery and 5-6 miles of all EV range.
Plus, in an SUV this would have been to the ceiling and we would have needed a roof carrier
This is the worst time of year to put big miles on the highway.

Yeah we travel for New Years every year, its always nutty. The trucks were crazy today, making up lost time I guess.
The SUV keeps her more realistic on what we need to pack and want to pack. Lol
Honestly I gave up on that lol, we needed maybe 50% of what is in there but its less stressful having to deal with her when she can just take everything! My wife has a lot of anxiety about packing and preparing for a trip and not having things we need. Its not like there are stores where we're going or anything...

Must say I am glad that THIS trip was uneventful unlike your first road trip with the tires and damage. All fixed, though, which is good. It’s great to hear it’s comfortable and is well suited for these trips. Welcome home.

If I remember high school and University correctly. Wind and air resistance increase as you increase speed. I think it is squared or something like that. So if you go twice as fast, you get four times the wind resistance, I think. so let’s say we live in that world where you can get your car to 130 mph, and you exceed the highway rating from the EPA. You would have to drive for a very long time to get that high miles per gallon. I have driven all through Ontario, New York State, and Ohio there are definitely places where you could get to that speed, but for how long? in other words, there would have to be almost no traffic for you to drive that speed and for that long to get the rating. In the world I live in, there is lots of traffic, so let’s say I was able to drive 130mph and deal with the same traffic, I’d be possibly going between 50mph and 130mph, let’s say every five miles, Acceleration is where you burn the most fuel, one would burn so much fuel living in those speed variations. I just don’t think it’s possible to exceed the hwy rating at 130mph.
