That said, this poor bastard had his 2020 stolen TWICE, in the same month!
I know a person who had two Lexus ES models stolen. His insurance told him that if you have one more car theft (of any kind) they will drop him from insurance. He bought a new 4Runner. SR5 model.

Depends on where you live. Up in Canada it seems to be Toyota and Lexus SUVs. Here In Memphis it’s Infiniti sedans and pretty much anything with the VQ engine. 370Zs, Maximas. And of course the usual Hyundai/Kias without immobilizers but those aren’t being stolen out of desirability more a crime of convenience. I never hear of 4Runners or Lexus RXs being stolen here.

‘The auto thefts here are all organized crime. There needs to be a close by exit port to ship overseas and that all happens in Montreal. And then finally a high population area
upon renewal. I guess they can explain it anyway they want with the fine print
My premium increased 24% last year and the justification is that there are too many unlicensed and uninsured drivers in my area. It’s true. I won’t say the cause of it, but it is not reasonable to transfer the burden of risks created by people who do not comply with requirements on to drive to those who are in compliance with all requirements.

Did it just increase 24% on your existing car or was it a new car you bought? Sadly, they do transfer it over to the good people who follow the rules
Got my Lloyd Luxe mats in today and swapped them out. HUGE improvement:
I'm amazed how cheap MB mats are. Not even a rubber backing, just some very cheap and thin foam
Nice, I think you can get better mats in Europe? It's that way for Audi at least. I like Lloyd's a lot though ever since you convinced me to buy a pair lol

Existing car of several years. What sucks is I am paying more and when one of these unlicensed, uninsured idiots crashes into me, my insurance would likely pay the claim and drop me. Perhaps this is too off topic. Apologies.

Thats too bad. I wonder what the increase would be if you bought a newer car. I have a friend who bought a new Mustang and the insurance jumped quite a bit. Same with someone else I know who bought a new WRX

They sell an exclusive mat option that looks in pictures similar to the luxe mats, but I know the quality of the luxe mats and they're half the price so I just went with them
