The new E is really nice. There is a graphite gray one in the parking garage at my office. I haven’t driven one but the new C300 I had was excellent so I’m sure it too is great.

The one I see every day is an E450 with rear wheel steering.

Oh we babied it. It has removable plastic hardware fuel economy crap behind the front wheels that kills the ground clearance. We drove very slow… I did have to put it into 4WD.

With the right tires it would be a very capable truck off road. Not LX level, but more than 95% of people need. The AT4 Yukon is definitely legit and can do hardcore.

I’m taking the LX back where I will be driving like 40 mph over all over everything lol and taking jumps and stuff. It has all the underbody protection and mudflaps to protect the paint.

The GMC tires are pure trash Bridgestones, I’m putting Michelins on it when it’s time.

Not a fan of your factory mats. They say AMG on them. Seems disingenuous since your vehicle is not an AMG model.

Ohhhhh, I definitely agree with you there. I think wheels and ground effect kits are great, but yes, AMG badging....

My friend has a C300 with an AMG badge on it, I tell him all the time to take it the hell off.

I'd be embarrassed to drive my SL around with an AMG badge, as it is not one in any way.

The C300 loaner I had also had AMG on the mats lol

I will say, that C300 was the best experience I have had driving a 4 cyl. I honestly didn't have one complaint.

So what if they DO say AMG on them? I don't see the big deal. Most of the time, you are only going to be doing one of two things with them...either cleaning them or putting one's feet on them, out of sight.

AMG is a marque that is supposed to mean a car has high performance modification and improvements that set it at a different level than an ordinary Mercedes. My S580 has the AMG appearance package which is just sportier bumpers and wheels and body cladding, it doesn't have any performance improvements. Putting the AMG badge on an ordinary Mercedes dilutes the brand.

Probably because they've been at it longer, the 4 cyl. engines from MB, Audi and BMW are smooth and responsive.
