Uh yeah....awesomeness.....certainly that and not gun in mouth cataclysmic failures and difficulty of repair. Total compression loss, liner failure, turbo failure, chain failure, crank sprocket random failure of teeth, coolant leaks....
Just get the newer 4.0 or the BMW option if you want less issues, yes I'm recommending the 4.4 over it. At least that one can be worked on relatively easily. If you want the least issues and best access get an Audi 4.0

I'm at the Toyota dealer now, getting my Tundra serviced. For the first time in YEARS, they actually have a decent load of new cars on the lot. Not like pre-COVID, but still quite a few. I just spent some time out looking at their new Tundras. They seem to be controversial here on CL, but I would buy one in a minute if other financial goals wouldn't be risked.
They still don't have any Siennas, however. No Sequoias either, but a good selection of pretty much everything else.

Downpipe, flex fuel kit and tune it.
Took the seats out of the Pacifica for the first time today to haul some stuff in it for work, they come out pretty easy but they are heavy. For as little as we ever used the StowNGo seating this is not a bad tradeoff
This is also a huge plus for me buying an EV, Plugged in and charging for free, that door is the back door to my office.
Also, thought this was interesting. Even with a totally depleted EV battery the Pacifica still used all electric power for half my trip home.

For German cars, oil consumption is just part of experience is it not? One bottle of oil every 600 miles. I think that is stated in the manual

love the w212 E class. Very elegant design. Back then you had to get the E 550 or the E 63 to get ventilated seats. You couldn’t get them on the E 350.

Any turbo engine will use oil, you literally have a designed in oil leak or two on any engine with a turbo. Now if the management strat is prone to fuel dilution or you make a lot of short trips it will appear you aren't using oil....
Worst car I've had for oil usage was my LS460 when I first got it and that was due to rings, was correctible but there isn't an excuse on an engine like that. None of my other cars use oil other than the 4.0 but that's expected due to design

No, not really. And Lexus has the same blurb if you look at this thread:

All of those chairs would not have fit in a 3 row SUV either.
My M176 has almost 50k miles on it and doesn't use any oil

That's shocking to me. The LS460 really had more problems than the norm for Lexus.

Every engine consumes oil. Most would never know as it uses so little it would be extremely difficult to detect. Drive your Mercedes very very hard at the peak of its limits, you’ll see more oil use. Or any car for that matter …
