Probably to get rid of the pug nose look and/or to provide better airflow control to coolers etc.

Depending what it is, I don't think it's a bad idea. It makes more practical sense when a feature is too expensive. In a way, it's similar to leasing vs. purchasing. At least it seems to work for one brand and I don't think they made any change yet.

Hi all. I come back humbled. I went to Kernville with two friends. It’s a unique place but it’s all pickup trucks. They did not particularly care for my car which is pretty lightly modified.
I do also want to apologize for my post where I meant to call the S Class a beautiful car, but it autocorrected to beater car. People who DD a Civic don’t get to call an S Class a beater. I saw two S Class on the way home today. Beautiful.
Most of the Germans in the German club I’m in who drive Benzes drive SUVs or E Class.

I like the Adam's products. My car has the graphene coating on it and it's proven to be a very effective defense against things such as tree sap. It's not ideal to park near or undr trees, but it happens. The sap rinses off. Full disclosure, I have a bias toward Adam's because I have been friends with the founder my whole life. We went to Kindergarten together. He is a good man. Also, my brother opened the Adam's location in CA and ran it for a few years, so I am connected to the company a bit.

The battery in my GS is dead, so while that's getting addressed at the Lexus dealer, I have a loaner RX500h to drive. I'm still working on my thoughts/opinions on it, but so far, very favorable. My wife really wants one of these so it's nice to have one for the day to try out. About a billion times better than the ES250 they gave me last time I was in for service.

I'm pretty surprised with it. I am enjoying it today. Even the rear seat is super comfortable. I've been playing with it and gunning the throttle and still getting about 24 mpg. There's no doubt that the 4 cylinder gets a bit gruff at full throttle, but otherwise it's very quiet and refined. And my wife doesn't drive full throttle. I'd enjoy this much more than our Highlander, and I'm okay without the 3rd row moving forward.
