Understand that position fully. However, now driving one around for the day, it's a complete non-issue for me. If we were to buy an RX, it would be the 500h F Sport Performance.
if I were to buy a 5RX, it would probably be an RX 240t oh! excuse me, “RX 350” premium plus (I still can’t get used to the new naming scheme lol). But I would probably just rather have a previous gen RX 450h with the luxury package, or the new GX 550.
Graphene coatings are just ceramic coatings. Graphene is kind of a snake oil kinda thing. It’s the hot new ingredient.
That Graphene coating is a great coating but there are also other great coatings with no Graphene.
Fair enough. I have found it to be effective regardless. Perhaps it is no better than other products, but if it works, I am good with it. Over the weekend, I had to park my car under a pine tree. Fortunately, it was the type that mists tree sap as opposed to excreting big, nasty drops of it. It rained on the drive back from hill jack country and the sappy mist just rinsed off. With no coating at all, it probably would have worked out differently.
I can't believe how expensive the Land Cruiser is. $76k fully loaded? For 4 cylinders and batteries? That's only 10 grand less than the way more luxurious, way more appropriately-powered V8 200 was. I know its days are over, but that's worth pointing out.

I think the elephant in the room is the Sequoia. If Toyota would bring the Land Cruiser 300 to North America, the smaller Land Cruiser would be more acceptable in 2.4t and hybrid form.

funny enough. Tesla has their models here.
(flame suit on). I thought they don’t need to do Auto Shows?
Cyber truck at show. I think it’s so cool, but so ridiculously stupid at the same time

$76k isn't what it used to be, and the pricing of the 200 was from another era

This is what SO many people say. Gen public, car critics, design critics. Completely unsure - can’t dismiss it but can’t love it (yet). I’m in the same center ground but I think lean more positive than negative. I’m thinking it’s going to actually age very well and be more loved in the future - my guess.
Come to think of it, I have two professional designers in the extended family. A younger male cousin who does mostly music art - concert art, album covers, etc. - for VERY big bands and artists. Very successful in his field. Another older female cousin who is a design prof and has won major industrial design Awards (airline interiors - very custom ones, too, building interiors, etc.). I am going to email both of them today and ask their opinions. Should be interesting to get feedback from real pros like that about the design.
I'm curious as to why Toyota won't let you have the 3.4TT in the Land Cruiser when the GX550 has it?
Because if they did, it would probably cost as much as the GX. The two are essentially the same vehicle and the engine is the only major point of differentiation.
