I’m on a road trip to Pittsburgh in my X7 and had to sit in the back seat for an hour for a work call and I have to say, it is really really comfortable back here. The back seats recline and can be moved back. Plenty of leg room and the little alcantara pillows are nice. Now I know why my kids always want to take the X7 on longer drives.
Now I’m looking at new SUVs and questioning whether we need third row seating anymore with my son driving in a year so it opens up more possibilities. Any thoughts on RR Sport, RSQ8 or GLE63 AMG?
If you want that comfort, you’ll need to get one with 3rd row. Without it, 2nd row can not be moved back or recline as much. X7’s second row is only 0.2 more than X5’s. If fixed, it’s very tight and uncomfortable.
My F-150 doesn't have any engine covers. You can see the the intake manifold and the valve covers as soon as you open the hood.
i keep the cover off (it's just a little one that goes over the front) of the benz engine to keep that supercharger pulley nice and visible
the LS has a much bigger cover so i keep that on, although i keep the 2 nuts and 2 bolts in the trunk toolkit so i could easily just lift the cover off lol... the VVT-i 1UZ i think is a stunning looking engine when completely exposed and all covers removed

Really? An X5 second row can’t move back and forth? I think even my GX460 could do that. I have located a bunch of SUVs tomorrow so we will see what happens. Hopefully my wife can last a few hours test driving tomorrow but I know somehow I am going to pay for it. She hates going car shopping even though it’s really for her.
Thanks. It is the coyote. Mine is the 2nd gen which isn't as fast as the 3rd or 4th, but seems to be the most reliable so far.
that is cool. I never knew there were multiple generations of this engine. I admire that Ford does this and it is something I wish Toyota would still do.

yeah. That does make sense. I looked up some of the parts to the 80s, many are still in production in some body on frame Toyoya models overseas.
