You have to rev the hell out of the 2GR to get power out of it; it shines best on freeway speeds. The turbo 4 would be better for cruising around town.
Simply not true. I drive mine in city traffic everyday below 3000rpm and keep up with traffic. No need to rev the snot out of it. In the Tacoma it’s a different animal but in my GS and the RX 350 I used to own it feels potent around town.

Its all what you're used to, if you're used to turbo engines it feels really lethargic.
Went to my holster maker for some custom work and he threw me they keys to his new Alfa, it's a good looking car.
Interior looks very impressive but the materials are meh, all imitation and plastic. It's nice for what it is though for sure....
Engine is a turbo 4, it's there. It moves the car. Transmission is great though and covers for the 4 cyl as best as it can.
Brakes are good, steering is EPS that is reasonably well calibrated with some feedback. Suspension is fairly good and road feel is good, it's sorta harsh and wind noise/general road noise is typical.
Honestly not a bad car, quite nice a lot of ways and I like how the center screen is integrated and the overall control scheme. Has a physical control for the settings etc....
My god. The new Charger is gigantic. 206in and even wider than the widest widebody that preceded it. I'll say wide one more time for emphasis. Glad to see ICE and EV versions and 3 and 5 door versions.

Looks underwhelming. Rather have a Lexus IS350

I agree. It’s not the turbos that are of concern…it’s the downsize of displacement. Going from 5.7 to 3.4 is absurd…in the LX. There should be a V8.
My 4.6 feels okay at best down low, my 6.8 is far better and almost excessive. Credit to Lexus though the UR engines actually don't really act their size. Feel is similar to engines that are 1-2L larger but less advanced

That Alfa I posed is not a IS350 competitor btw, it's against the RX I think? Issue is that on the top end Lexus has literally no answer for a 505hp TTV6 so in reality it's above them and more of a German competitor
