I've never been interested in that upper level of luxury. Even a 5 series is about the apex of where I prefer to be. I'm just not a very fancy guy.

For the difference in cost they just don’t appeal to me. When you drive a Rolls Royce they feel just on another level from any other car, Bentleys just don’t do the same thing. Very nice obviously but over twice as expensive as a fully loaded German flagship car? I don’t see it.
A Rolls doesn't move like a Bentley, it's not even close. Quiet sure but you can get that with dynamat if something is too loud for you, I'm more impressed with an insane overall package. Watch below where they chase down a supercar/stay with it easily, that's what I want out of my 4 door not a slow lounge

You said the same thing about not speaking to you due to cost for what you get before you moved up to the Germans btw....it's the same deal here.

Just bot my thing, and Dynamat isn’t going to make a car a Rolls lol. No interest in a Rolls either.

No, I always have aspired to have an S Class. I truly have no desire to have a Bentley or a Rolls. Too flashy (frankly, vulgar), and in the Bentley it’s not as good or at least no better at what I want out of a car as what I have. I’d rather have an S Class and a boat, or an S Class and a Range Rover. Or 2 or 3 S Classes. The cost is just insane, not worth it at all.

Well they discontinued that car in 2017 in the U.S. and back then it was riding on a different platform. MLB Evo is under the Q7, Urus, Bentayga, Euro Touareg, and Cayenne. I haven't driven a Urus for any period of time but I can safely say the MLB Evo is a fantastic platform in its sportier applications even if it causes some visual compromises that I dislike.

I did not feel the previous generation Touareg that we had in the U.S. drove any better than a contemporary Grand Cherokee, for the record.

I have a fear that folks like me who do not prefer or "need" an SUV will soon have nothing but those to choose from. I still want a wagon, but that's not going to happen unless I move to Europe, which is also not going to happen. Probably in a few years, I will get a nice luxury sedan and won't have to worry about it.

You can still buy an E-Class wagon, A6 Allroad, or the Volvo V60/V90.

So you are looking for something that is not so luxurious? Honda Civic has a really nice hatchback. Outstanding reliability too .

Also, the Subaru Outback is marketed as a CUV, but really is a lifted wagon.

It certainty didn't but the advantage to the old platform was elsewhere, it was more a true SUV vs a on road performance "suv" type.

Agree, an S-Class would be all I would ever need... just make sure it has a V8.

And exactly, get an S-Class and then a nice $75-100k boat for the same money.

That's fair, but I do want and will get one. I'll probably only end up spending $130-150k on one with around 10-15k miles on it so cost won't be that much all things considered, I have about a year and half left on my house that will let me pick one finally lol!

I want one like that or in Viridian over dark tan leather, this is one car I would not buy in silver like I normally do. If that one is still for sale when I'm out to buy I would likely buy it, I have the VIN saved so I can track where it's located etc...
