Ah ok. Fair enough.

I think I'm just used to having 17's with a lot of sidewall to soak up our horrible roads. 225/55 R17's are what I'm used to lol. My tires look like little rubber bands now.

You would have a coronary if you saw my 285/30 ZR20s lol Another third of an inch less sidewall than yours (3.4"), and ILs roads (16th worst in the country) are just as bad as PAs (15th worst).

yeah pa has some brutal roads and all those back roads are hard to keep up with as far as pot holes. when i was in chester co. last year though i was pleasantly surprised that the roads weren't too bad.

Hahaha I would have a hard time with 285/30 ZR20's. Too much anxiety.

I see C8 Corvettes and 911's driving around with little rubber band tires and I think, "how are those tires surviving?" Tesla Model Y's have some seriously tiny sidewalls.

You were in Chester Co. last year? Nice!

I've been working in West Chester for 22 years. I can't believe I'm typing this but PA roads have actually improved in the last 10 years.

nice!

i used to live in chester county a very long time ago (malvern, exton and glenmoore) before migrating south.
my dad's buried in oaklands cemetary there, which was 1 (big) reason for my visit (kinda final goodbye / closure)

since i'm from england, that area always reminded me strongly of england (so many places with same names) and i kinda unfairly resented it for that reason, which was another reason i wanted to visit to see it with more perpective. loved it. especially ice cream in amish country, ha

ha, i think you're right! restaurants there have improved massively too since i left.

PA is definitely a beautiful state. enjoyed the visit very much. west chester itself certainly got more built up but surrounding areas less so it seems. we stayed in kennett square (abnb) not realizing that weekend was the mushroom festival, haha. nice little town.

If there is a full size spare tire the I am fine with 20s. My new SUV has 20s and I’m good

Wow that's so cool! I was extremely close to migrating south to NC or Georgia for better weather. I didn't want the punishing heat/humidity of Florida but the last 10 or so Winters on this part of the East Coast are so flimsy and mild I just decided to stay.

Just amazing that your Dad is buried just outside of West Chester borough. I've driven by that cemetary a thousand times.

Yea so many places around here have English names.

West Chester has changed drastically. I started my current job just outside the boro in March of 02 and I'm still here. Quite frankly, it used to be kind of a dumpy, run down college town in the early/mid 90's.

Really cool stuff bit!

I can't believe I'm considering this as my IS 500 is 3 weeks old but there's a super clean C55 AMG down in Florida. Thoughts?

An AMG that's pushing 20 years old? It only has 60k miles.

I really like the new GX too though. Maybe that would better a better decision.

Sure, but not like the old ones did. The doors being that light and dinky kind of shocked me.

This. However my luck sucks and the last 4 cars I've bought have had slightly to badly bent rims. The LS 460 had TWO bent 18 cast rims, the 4.0 had a bend bad enough to be felt at speed on the front right even though it's a forged lightweight 20......the W12 had the same but not enough to be felt so that one just bothers my OCD.

I think I'm going to wait and see the refresh. If I were to get this and then they really stepped it up with the refresh I would be pretty frustrated, and buying mine out will let me wait until I can get the deal I want on a refresh car. Also always still have the 760 or i7 that is an option as well.

One thing I have considered to give mine some "newness" is to wrap it to change the color. I don't like vinyl wraps, but some of these new color change PPF wraps are amazing and really are indistinguishable from paint. I would want something that is factory looking...
